Perpetuum Software LLC releases a beta version of the .Net ModelKit Suite™. The delivery package contains only pure .NET 2.0 versions of the following products: Report Sharp-Shooter™, Instrumentation ModelKit™, Chart ModelKit™, and OLAP ModelKit™. Now you can take advantage of the whole .NET 2.0 functionality.
Some new features include:
Improved Visual Interface.
Automatic layout of localized interface elements allows the correct displaying and positioning of these elements in the property grid and on the toolbar. So, designers of all components included in the package will have an attractive appearance no matter what language is selected as the current one.
New designers.
Designers became more convenient, as some properties are available not only in the property grid but also from the designer toolbar. For example you can change element’s style, size, fill, as well as text style, size, font color, format, alignment from the toolbar. Expressions toolbar provides a more convenient way of assigning expressions for a selected element property; no need to invoke the expression editor.
New syntax editor.
New syntax editor is similar to those in Visual Studio.Net. It provides the code completion and syntax highlighting features. Now it is so easy to write scripts in Report Sharp-Shooter™.
Improved report viewer.
Report Sharp-Shooter™ features an improved WinForms viewer. Its user interface became more convenient and attractive.
Re-designed mechanism of data grouping
The working with groups in Report Sharp-Shooter™ became easier. Now it is possible to sort groups and their elements. More over, Master-Detail reports are designed in the same way Group reports are created; this facilitates evaluation and exploration of the report generator.
The DataBand functionality is extended.
The component is able to perform filtering and sorting of the displayed data.
Re-designed mechanism of working with aggregate functions.
Calculation of data totals in Report Sharp-Shooter™ is performed in a more convenient manner; a wide range of aggregate functions is available: sum, minimum, maximum, average, standard deviation, estimate of standard deviation, variance, estimate of variance, median, skewness, and kurtosis. Group totals are calculated automatically; no need to specify the current group. It is possible to calculate running totals and totals by page.
Please be advised that final release of the product will support only .NET 2.0.
